Empty Thoughts

The joy with which we photograph.

Photo by Tomoji Hirakata (Thanks Ambercakes!)

No matter how old I get…I’m always going to have this joy every time I take a photo with my camera. <3

Radio Static

195263113
The hair on the back of my neck rose as I left the parking lot. My work day had begun kissed by fog and was ending in much the same fashion, though the kiss seemed to have progressed to a something more. So thick was the fog that visibility was born from the breath that swallowed light - my pulse began to race.

Imagination creates sleight of hand, I see movement and apparitions that aren’t there. Distraction, like a stiff drink, I crave. I find the radio, but only hear static.

Pops. Sizzles. Faint voices.

I shiver.

My day started off like ‘The Mist’ but ended with ‘Silent Hill ll’. I have the radio…but my Goddess, where’s my stick with the nail? At least I’m in the van and not on foot, it’s something so Pyramid Head doesn’t get me.

Silvers Welch Road View (IRG) (by oldoinyo)

This photo speaks to me. It reminds me of journeys taken where the trails were covered in both crimson and tears. The moments now live in my rear view mirror, but I carry the lessons with me into the future.

Have you heard of Glasswinged butterflies? They’re transparent butterflies that live in Central America!

Pose is a case that doubles as a stand — it has an attachment mount built in, and can either be propped up by itself on flat surfaces or wrapped around poles and curved surfaces.

“Pose” Camera Case Doubles as a Small Stand

I’ve been seeing so many delicious camera gadgets as of late. Between the camera communities I’m tied into and my Photographer’s Circle on G+ - it’s a never ending joy-gasm - seriously.

“Flower” is dreamt up by designers Rhie Hyi Joong and Lee Sang Hwa and is a concept lens cap that blooms into a hood by simply turning a ring.

Love this notion. I’d definitely sign up for one. Oh so marvelously handy.

I like the constant fluctuation of seasons. It’s the one constant at Blue Creek, that thing I’ve come to rely on. It may not come at the same time every year, but there are definite signs. I need definite.

In Autumn

Autumn turns leaves gold
I watch them fall silently
and float down the creek.

And I thought some of the photos I took on Saturday’s photo walk wouldn’t be put to good use. Silly girl, silly girl. ;)

I’m down to the last 10 photos a day for Project 365. ( a photo a day )

And I’ve decided to start my own project. Feel free to reblog this and join in. This I will do only on tumblr as facebook is really one of my many masks I admittedly wear. It’s a place where I don’t really expose who I am….

I didn’t fare well at the original Project: 365. It wasn’t so much the taking a photo a day, because that I did. But when it came to posting them, yeah…totally back-logged on that one.

I’m always up to giving new things a shot, especially when it comes to things that are creative. However, for this jolie inspired project, I think I’ll keep all of these photos restricted to my Flickr account. That way when I forget to post them, which I’m sure I will…I can do a mass upload. ;)

After your last 10 photos for Project: 365…will this new project then begin?
